The below information are provided by the Department of Education
and Training (DET) may be of assistance to your with your child's
next big step to secondary school.
In Victoria, students normally start secondary school when they reach year 7.
Due to remote and flexible learning arrangements currently in place, government primary schools may be unable to distribute the 2020 parent/carer pack to every year 6 family in hard copy from the start of Term 2 2020.
Therefore, adjustments to the statewide year 6 to 7 timeline have been made. These changes give parents and carers an increased timeframe to return the application form.
Parents and carers of year 6 students can access the year 7 placement information pack and application form from this webpage. Your child’s government primary school will also make every effort to provide you a copy of the documents.
Applications for 2021 - Year 7 transition placement paperwork is in the mail.
